Online Multi-Parameter Self-Cleaning Water Quality Sensor

Our online multi-parameter self-cleaning digital water quality sensor is designed with an integrated structure, ensuring reliability and ease of use. It can measure up to 8 parameters simultaneously, including dissolved oxygen, COD, pH, ORP, conductivity/salinity, ammonia nitrogen, turbidity, etc. The sensor uses the RS-485 bus and Modbus/RTU communication protocol, with data directly transmitted to the collection platform.  

The self-cleaning mechanism of the sensor can be set to automatic cleaning intervals and cleaning cycles, adapting to different water quality cleaning needs. The cleaning device effectively cleans the sensor surface to prevent microbial attachment, greatly reducing maintenance costs. Each sensor is equipped with a quick-connect waterproof connector for easy installation and removal.  

The sensor's protective cover is designed to protect the internal sensor from damage, with slotted holes around the cover to effectively prevent large suspended particles and biological damage while not affecting the accuracy of measurements.

1. Features of the Multi-Parameter Self-Cleaning Water Quality Sensor:

- Digital sensor with RS-485 bus and Modbus/RTU communication protocol.  

- Equipped with an automatic cleaning device to effectively clean the sensor surface, prevent microbial attachment, improve measurement accuracy, and reduce maintenance costs.  

- Optional sensors for dissolved oxygen, COD, conductivity/salinity, turbidity, ammonia nitrogen, pH, ORP, etc., suitable for long-term online monitoring.  

- Integrated design, capable of measuring up to 8 parameters (including temperature).  

2. Electrical Connection  

The cable is a 4-core twisted shielded wire with the following pin definition:  

- Red wire – Power supply (12VDC)  

- Black wire – Ground (GND)  

- Blue wire – 485A  

- White wire – 485B  

Before powering on, check the wiring sequence carefully to avoid unnecessary damage caused by incorrect connections.  

Wiring instructions: Since the cable is frequently immersed in water (including seawater) or exposed to air, all wiring points require waterproof treatment. User cables should have a certain level of corrosion resistance.

3. Maintenance and Care  

3.1 Maintenance Schedule  

The NBL-MPS-400 online multi-parameter self-cleaning water quality sensor is equipped with a cleaning brush to extend maintenance intervals. Due to the diverse environmental conditions, it is recommended to regularly check, clean, and calibrate the sensor.

3.2 Maintenance Methods  

a) Inspection: Check for dirt or microbial attachment on the sensor head, damage to the casing or sensor surface, normal cable condition, accurate test data, and wear on consumables.  

b) Cleaning: Clean the sensor surface with tap water. If any debris remains, wipe it with a soft cloth. For stubborn dirt, add household detergent to the tap water and clean.  

c) Calibration: Perform single-point or two-point calibration as needed. Use the appropriate standard solution for the corresponding sensor. Detailed calibration methods can be found in the sensor manual.
