What is RS485 and Modbus? 

- RS485: RS485 is a serial communication standard that uses differential signal transmission. It has strong anti-interference ability, long transmission distance (up to 1200 meters), and supports multi-point communication. It uses two signal lines (A+ and B-) for half-duplex communication, making it suitable for industrial environments and long-distance data transmission. RS485 supports multi-device connections (up to 32 nodes), commonly used for meteorological stations, industrial automation, and IoT devices.  

- Modbus: Modbus is an open communication protocol widely used for data exchange between industrial automation devices. Modbus-RTU is its serial communication version, using binary data format for transmission through interfaces such as RS485.
