In traditional agricultural operations, soil testing often involves cumbersome data cable connections, expensive handheld terminals, or lengthy laboratory analyses. NiuBoL is committed to simplifying this process. Our USB Soil Sensor (Temperature + Humidity + EC + NPK + PH + Salinity) integrates eight complex soil physiological indicators into one lightweight probe.
Simply plug it into your smartphone's Type-C port, and soil nutrients, pH, and moisture conditions invisible to the naked eye are displayed in real time on your phone screen. This is not only a hardware innovation but also an effort to bring "digital planting" to the fingertips of every farmer and researcher.

The sensor uses the mainstream FDR (Frequency Domain Reflectometry) principle to obtain real-time moisture information by measuring the soil dielectric constant. Compared to traditional resistive detection, FDR is minimally affected by environmental interference, can penetrate complex soil structures, and provides highly repeatable accurate data.
Unlike cheap products on the market that only rely on simulation calculations, NiuBoL integrates a professional-grade pH electrode. When the probe is inserted into the soil, the zinc probe reacts with hydrogen ions in the soil to produce a displacement reaction, and the resulting potential difference is used to accurately calculate the acidity and alkalinity, making soil pH balance clear at a glance.
316L Stainless Steel Probe: Maintains structural stability even in highly saline-alkaline or extremely hard, cracked dry soil, with corrosion resistance far superior to ordinary stainless steel.
Epoxy Resin Vacuum Encapsulation: The core control circuit is completely sealed in transparent or black epoxy resin, achieving IP68 dustproof and waterproof rating.
Type-C Universal Interface: Conforms to the mainstream of modern mobile devices, no adapter required, smooth insertion and removal.

The soil NPK sensor is calculated by measuring soil electrical conductivity combined with conventional nutrient coefficients. Due to the complexity of the soil environment, this value is an empirical theoretical reference and is recommended for observing patterns of fertility fluctuations.
This product uses the in-situ electrode method, measuring potential difference through the electrochemical reaction between the zinc probe and hydrogen ions, offering extremely high response speed and practicality.

Understanding the soil is the starting point of all planting work. Below is the core value of each parameter measured by this sensor for crop growth:
1. Soil Temperature
Temperature is the switch for seed germination and root development. Monitoring soil temperature can scientifically guide sowing periods and help farmers take timely temperature control measures in extreme weather (such as late spring cold or high-temperature summer drought) to avoid heat or freeze damage.
2. Soil Humidity
Moisture is not only the carrier of crop nutrients but also directly determines soil aeration. With 0.1% resolution, precision irrigation becomes possible, preventing root rot from over-irrigation and providing early warnings during drought onset.
3. Soil EC (Electrical Conductivity)
EC value is a comprehensive indicator reflecting the concentration of soluble salt ions in the soil. It indicates the soil's fertility base and salinization risk. Excessively high EC can cause osmotic pressure damage to roots, while too low indicates nutrient deficiency.
4. Soil Salinity
Long-term application of chemical fertilizers can lead to soil salinization. Real-time monitoring of salinity content (mg/L) can effectively guide "salt washing" operations, prevent land degradation, and protect sustainable arable land production capacity.
5. Soil Available Nitrogen (N)
Nitrogen is key for plants to synthesize proteins and chlorophyll. Monitoring nitrogen content helps farmers determine whether to top-dress urea or other nitrogen fertilizers, promoting lush stems and leaves.
6. Soil Available Phosphorus (P)
Phosphorus promotes flower bud differentiation and root establishment. Accurate phosphorus acquisition during early growth and flowering stages directly affects final fruit set rate and yield.
7. Soil Available Potassium (K)
Potassium is the "quality element" for crops, enhancing disease resistance and lodging resistance. Direct phone monitoring ensures sufficient potassium during the maturity stage, improving fruit sugar content and taste.
8. Soil pH Value (Acidity & Alkalinity)
Most crops grow best in slightly acidic or neutral soil. Fluctuations in pH can cause nutrients to be "locked" and unavailable to plants. NiuBoL sensor provides 0.01 high resolution to help you precisely adjust soil pH.

The free Android/HarmonyOS companion APP provides the sensor with:
Data storage and historical curves: Automatically records each measurement, supports viewing change trends on a timeline to discover the underlying logic of soil changes.
Excel report export: One-click generation of standard reports and sharing, greatly simplifying post-field data organization for agricultural technicians.
Chinese/English free switching: Meets the needs of international research projects and multilingual users.
Modern greenhouse and facility agriculture: Fine management of high-value flowers and organic vegetables.
Water-saving agricultural irrigation: Combined with mobile monitoring to achieve "on-demand drip irrigation" and reduce water costs.
Environmental and meteorological monitoring: Researchers quickly obtain surface environmental data in the field.
Home gardening and lawn maintenance: Enables gardening enthusiasts to manage private gardens like experts.
Soil improvement projects: Provides real-time effect feedback in saline-alkali land reclamation or damaged soil remediation.

Q: Can my phone use it?
A: As long as your phone uses Android or HarmonyOS system, has a Type-C interface, and supports OTG function (most mainstream phones in recent years support it), it can be used directly.
Q: Does APP upgrade require additional payment?
A: No. NiuBoL provides lifetime free APP usage rights, and the software automatically detects new versions and prompts for upgrade upon startup.
Q: Can the sensor be buried in the soil for a long time?
A: Although this sensor has IP68 waterproof rating and epoxy resin encapsulation, considering its original design intent is mobile rapid testing and the Type-C interface needs to connect to a phone, it is recommended to use it as a mobile detection tool. For long-term online monitoring, please consult NiuBoL's industrial-grade RS485 series products.
Q: What to do if the phone does not display data after insertion?
A: First, confirm whether the "OTG data exchange" switch is enabled in the phone settings (some brands like OPPO and vivo need to be manually enabled). If still unable to read, please check if the APP has obtained the relevant permissions.
The USB Soil Sensor (Temperature + Humidity + EC + NPK + PH + Salinity) launched by NiuBoL perfectly integrates mobile internet technology with soil science. It not only provides industrial-grade stability but also greatly lowers the threshold for smart agriculture through Type-C direct phone connection. Whether for professional farmers pursuing higher yields or researchers seeking detailed data, this is a trustworthy digital assistant.
