NBL-W-PPT Module Temperature Sensor: Efficient Photovoltaic Temperature Monitoring Solution

Product Introduction:

The NBL-W-PPT Module Temperature Sensor is a sensor designed specifically for photovoltaic power stations and other high-precision temperature monitoring scenarios. It uses a high-precision thermistor as the temperature sensing element, achieving a measurement accuracy of ±0.5°C. The sensor is equipped with an advanced signal transmission module that converts the temperature signal into current (4–20mA), voltage (0–2.5V/0–5V), or RS485 digital signals, meeting the integration needs of various systems. This sensor is compact (probe only 125g), low power (0.15W), easy to install, and has excellent linearity, load capacity, and anti-interference performance, making it suitable for diverse environments such as photovoltaic power stations, meteorological stations, marine monitoring, and laboratories.

Core Advantages of Module Temperature Sensor NBL-W-PPT:

- High Accuracy and Stability: With a measurement accuracy of ±0.5°C, it ensures the reliability of temperature data, suitable for high-demand scenarios.

- Multiple Output Options: Supports 4–20mA, 0–2.5V, 0–5V, and RS485 outputs, compatible with various data acquisition systems.

- Strong Environmental Adaptability: Working temperature range of -50°C to 100°C and relative humidity of 0–100%RH, adaptable to extreme climate conditions.

- Low Power Consumption: Only 0.15W power consumption, ideal for long-term operation and reducing power consumption at power stations.

- Easy Installation: Fixed using thermal conductive silicone, with a quick installation time of 5–10 minutes and flexible wiring with a 5-meter wire length.

Module Temperature Sensor Installation and Usage Instructions:

1. Choose Installation Location: Apply approximately 2212mm of thermal conductive silicone to the center of the back of the photovoltaic module along the bracket direction (use the supplied silicone).

2. Fix the Sensor: Secure the sensor according to the application direction and let it sit for 5–10 minutes to ensure adhesion.

3. Wiring: Fix the sensor cable along the photovoltaic bracket, avoiding loosening or mechanical damage, and proceed with standard wiring.

4. Environmental Adaptation: Adjust installation methods according to actual environmental conditions (e.g., high temperature or humidity) to ensure the sensor fits tightly with the module.

Note:

- Ensure the thermal conductive silicone is applied evenly to avoid bubbles that may affect temperature measurement accuracy.

- Regularly check the sensor's fixation status, especially after strong winds or extreme weather.

- When wiring, avoid overstretching the sensor cable to ensure long-term stability.

NBL-W-PPT Module Temperature Sensor Application Scenarios:

The NBL-W-PPT Module Temperature Sensor demonstrates excellent performance in various scenarios:

- Photovoltaic Power Stations: Monitors module temperature in real-time, optimizes generation efficiency (every 1°C increase in temperature causes a 0.4–0.5% efficiency loss), and provides early warning of hotspots or faults.

- Meteorological Monitoring: Provides accurate temperature data for meteorological stations to analyze the impact of environmental conditions on equipment performance.

- Marine Environment: In high-humidity or saline environments, the sensor's high anti-interference capability and wide humidity range ensure reliable operation.

- Laboratory Research: Used for thermal performance testing of photovoltaic modules or other equipment, verifying new materials or designs.

- Industrial Applications: Monitors industrial module temperature to ensure stable operation in high or low-temperature environments.

Value of the Module Temperature Sensor in Photovoltaic Power Stations:

The importance of module temperature sensors in photovoltaic power stations cannot be overlooked:

1. Improving Generation Efficiency: Temperature increase leads to a decrease in photovoltaic module efficiency (for example, a 1°C increase in temperature reduces efficiency by 0.4–0.5% for crystalline silicon modules). By monitoring in real-time, operations and maintenance personnel can take measures like heat dissipation or cleaning to maximize power generation.

2. Fault Warning: Abnormal temperatures may indicate module aging, wiring faults, or hotspot issues. Timely monitoring can reduce maintenance costs.

3. Intelligent Operations and Maintenance: Sensor data can be integrated into SCADA systems, supporting data analysis and predictive maintenance, thus improving the economic benefits of the power station.

4. Extending Equipment Life: By optimizing operational conditions and reducing long-term damage to modules due to high temperatures, sensor use can extend equipment life.

For example, in a 50MW photovoltaic power station, assuming that temperature-induced efficiency loss is 5%, using the NBL-W-PPT sensor to optimize heat dissipation and cleaning strategies could recover millions of dollars in generation revenue.
