The 2-in-1 Ultrasonic Anemometer is a fully digital, high-precision meteorological monitoring device designed specifically for fast and accurate measurement of wind speed and direction. The sensor uses ultrasonic technology with an integrated signal processing unit and supports RS485 output with standard Modbus protocol. It offers flexible signal output options according to user needs and features no mechanical moving parts, quick response time, long service life, and maintenance-free operation. Additionally, it can optionally measure various environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, PM2.5, PM10, noise, radiation, and rainfall. Its high-strength design and IP65 protection level ensure reliable operation in harsh environmental conditions. The ultrasonic wind speed and direction sensor calculates wind speed and direction by measuring the time difference of ultrasonic wave transmission through air. The sensor utilizes ultrasonic probes in four directions (North, South, East, West) and measures the transmission time of ultrasonic waves from North to South, South to North, West to East, and East to West. For example, when the wind blows from the North, the transmission time from North to South will be shorter than from South to North, while the transmission times from West to East and East to West will be the same. By calculating these time differences, the sensor can accurately determine wind speed and direction, with results unaffected by environmental factors such as temperature. This design with no moving parts increases reliability and durability, making it particularly suitable for long-term outdoor use.

1. Positioning: Mount the device on a vertical pipe, ensuring the sensor is on the same horizontal plane for accurate measurements.
2. Alignment: Use a standard compass to determine the true north direction, align the sensor’s north point with the compass direction, and fix it.
3. Installation:
- The mounting pipe should have 3 evenly spaced M5 screw holes, 7.5mm from the top of the pipe.
- Pass the cable through the mounting pipe and connect it to the sensor’s plug, then lock the outer sleeve of the plug.
- Secure the sensor to the mounting pipe using 3 stainless steel screws.
4. Important Notes:
- Properly relieve stress on the cables to avoid damage from tension.
- Ensure the installation location is open, avoiding interference from buildings or obstacles to airflow.
- Avoid installation near radar or radio transmission devices to prevent signal interference.
