The NiuBoL NBL-PH-1 4G Data Logger is a multi-channel data acquisition unit designed to collect, display, store and transmit measurements from field instruments. By combining sensor inputs, local data logging and 4G cellular communication, it provides a central data collection point for automatic weather stations, agricultural monitoring sites, hydrological projects and environmental monitoring systems.
The NBL-PH-1 is intended for monitoring installations where multiple sensors must operate continuously and their measurements need to be available both locally and at a remote monitoring center. A built-in LCD and keypad support on-site viewing and configuration, while standard communication functions support system integration.
4G remote data transmission: Send collected measurements from remote field sites through a compatible 4G cellular network to a configured server or monitoring system.
Multi-channel acquisition: The documented controller design supports up to 16 analog/counter acquisition channels for compatible sensor signals.
Local data storage: Record time-stamped measurements in onboard non-volatile memory, reducing dependence on continuous network access for local records.
Field-readable display: View sensor readings and device settings using the 192 × 64 dot-matrix LCD and keypad.
Flexible interfaces: RS485 and RS232 connections support communication with compatible field equipment; selected configurations can provide additional interfaces or storage options.
Protocol-based integration: Modbus and TCP/UDP communication functions provide options for integration with compatible monitoring software and data systems.
Reliable unattended operation: Optical isolation on input/output circuits and a hardware watchdog help the unit operate in electrically demanding environments.
Configurable recording interval: Choose a data-saving interval to match the monitoring project's reporting requirements.
A remote monitoring system usually contains field sensors, a data logger, a communication network and a receiving platform. The NBL-PH-1 sits between the instruments and the data system.
Field sensors → NBL-PH-1 data acquisition and storage → 4G cellular network → remote server or monitoring software
Data acquisition: Connected sensors produce compatible analog, pulse/frequency or communication signals. The data logger acquires the supported values through its configured channels and interfaces.
Local display and recording: Readings can be viewed on the LCD and saved as historical records at the selected interval.
4G transmission: With a suitable cellular connection and communication settings, data can be transmitted to a compatible remote receiving system.
Data use: The receiving software can organize measurements for charts, reporting, analysis and operational review, depending on the capabilities of the selected platform.
The logger is a data collection and communication device, not a measuring sensor by itself. The parameters that can be monitored depend on the connected sensors and the input/interface configuration.
The NBL-PH-1 can be configured for field monitoring projects that combine different measurements in one collection system. Common examples include:
| Monitoring category | Examples of connected measurements | Typical purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Weather monitoring | Air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, wind direction, atmospheric pressure and rainfall | Automatic weather station data logging |
| Agriculture | Soil temperature, soil moisture and other compatible soil measurements | Field observation and irrigation-related monitoring |
| Water resources | Water level, rainfall and compatible flow measurement instruments | River, reservoir and drainage monitoring |
| Environmental monitoring | Illuminance and other compatible environmental signals | Long-term environmental data recording |
| Industrial monitoring | Supported analog, pulse/frequency and serial instrument signals | Remote equipment and process observation |
Sensor compatibility is determined by the electrical output, communication protocol, channel availability and firmware configuration. Please share the sensor model, output type and register map (where applicable) before selecting the final system configuration.

The values above describe the documented NBL-PH-1 controller functions with 4G cellular communication. Interface combinations, optional I/O, storage, power and network settings should be confirmed against the supplied configuration before ordering.
Use the NBL-PH-1 as the central recording and communication unit in a station monitoring wind, precipitation, air temperature, humidity and other meteorological parameters. Local storage allows the station to keep a measurement history, while 4G communication supports data transfer from locations without a convenient wired connection.

Combine compatible soil and environmental sensors to observe conditions across fields, greenhouses or orchards. Long-term records can help users examine rainfall, soil moisture and temperature trends when evaluating irrigation schedules or growing conditions.
Connect suitable rainfall, water-level or flow instruments to a remote logging station. The NBL-PH-1 can form part of a monitoring architecture for reservoirs, rivers, canals and drainage systems where measurements need to be recorded regularly and transferred to a central location.
For distributed monitoring locations, the logger helps consolidate compatible sensor outputs and send their records to a receiving system. Applications may include environmental observation sites, infrastructure monitoring and industrial data acquisition.
Many weather and environmental measurement stations are located away from offices or wired network connections. Using a 4G data logger reduces the need to visit a site simply to retrieve measurements. It also allows a compatible remote platform to receive updated records when cellular service is available.
The NBL-PH-1 combines this remote connection with local data recording and a display for field checks. For a monitoring project, this means sensor measurement, data storage and data communication can be organized around one central unit.
Important: 4G coverage, supported cellular bands, operator/SIM compatibility, data transmission format and receiving-platform integration must be checked for each destination and application. A cloud subscription or third-party platform is not implied by the data logger alone.
Yes. The current NBL-PH-1 version supports 4G cellular data transmission. The cellular network, SIM settings and destination server must be configured for the installation location.
It is a data collector. It receives readings from compatible sensors, displays and records the data, and can transmit the information to a remote system. Sensors are selected separately according to the parameters required.
Yes, the documented controller design provides multi-channel acquisition. The actual number and types of connected devices depend on signal type, available interfaces and the selected hardware configuration.
Yes. The controller includes local non-volatile data storage and supports scheduled saving of historical measurements. Available memory capacity and external storage options depend on the configuration.
The documented controller includes RS485 communication and Modbus protocol functions. To confirm compatibility with a specific Modbus sensor or third-party system, provide its communication settings and register information.
Integration may be possible through the supported communication functions. Before ordering, confirm the platform's required protocol, data format, server address/port, polling method and any authentication requirements. Custom integration capabilities should be evaluated separately.
NiuBoL supplies sensors and monitoring equipment for meteorological, agricultural, hydrological and environmental applications. If you are developing a 4G weather station or a multi-sensor remote monitoring system, we can help you review the required sensor interfaces and data collection configuration.
For a suitable NBL-PH-1 quotation, please provide the destination country, sensor models and quantities, sensor output signals, preferred data interval, power supply and receiving-platform requirements.
