NiuBoL Rainfall Weather Station Successfully Exported to Bhutan, Supporting Hydrological Monitoring and Climate Adaptation in the Himalayan Region
Recently, the NBL-W-RS rainfall weather station (rain gauge sensor/transmitter) independently developed by NiuBoL was successfully exported to the Kingdom of Bhutan. This marks a new breakthrough for the company in the meteorological monitoring equipment market in the high-mountain regions of South Asia. This batch of equipment will be applied in Bhutan's meteorological stations, hydrological monitoring, agriculture and forestry departments, as well as flood control and water supply dispatching, providing precise rainfall data support for the local area to cope with monsoon climate, strengthen water resource management, and support agricultural production.

A rainfall weather station (rain gauge sensor) is an important meteorological instrument used for remote measurement of liquid precipitation, precipitation intensity, and the start and end time of precipitation. It is widely used in meteorological stations, hydrological stations, agriculture, forestry, national defense and other departments. It can be integrated into hydrological automatic reporting systems and automatic field reporting stations. This product is produced, assembled, and verified in strict accordance with national standards such as SL61-2003 Hydrological Automatic Reporting System Specification, GB11831-89 and GB11832-89. It features stable and reliable performance.

Real-time viewing of rainfall data
Data supports export and analysis, convenient for long-term trend research and decision-making
In addition, the rainfall station can seamlessly connect with data loggers to achieve remote monitoring, making it particularly suitable for long-term field deployment.

Bhutan (Kingdom of Bhutan) is a landlocked mountainous country located on the southern slope of the eastern section of the Himalayas in South Asia. It borders China to the north and India to the south. The country covers an area of approximately 38,394 square kilometers, with a population of about 770,000–790,000 (recent estimates). The capital is Thimphu. Bhutan is famous worldwide for its "happiness index" and follows the development philosophy of "Gross National Happiness" (GNH). Its forest coverage rate is as high as 72%, making it one of the few carbon-negative countries in the world.
Bhutan's terrain is high in the north and low in the south, with diverse climates: the south has a humid subtropical climate, the central river valleys are mild, and the northern high mountains are cold. Annual precipitation varies significantly. Affected by the Indian summer monsoon, the main rainy season is from June to September, with concentrated and intense rainfall that easily triggers floods, landslides and other disasters. At the same time, agriculture (especially rice and corn) is an important economic pillar locally, with more than half of the population engaged in farming and animal husbandry. However, most are rain-fed agriculture, creating an urgent need for precipitation monitoring and climate change adaptation. The introduction of rainfall weather stations will significantly enhance Bhutan's hydrological automatic reporting capabilities and help with disaster prevention and mitigation, agricultural irrigation scheduling, and ecological protection.

1. The installation location can be chosen on the ground, a self-made large barrel, an iron column flange, or the roof of a house.
2. Adjust the leveling bubble to horizontal using the three leveling screws on the base plate and then fix it.
3. After assembly and fixation, inject clean water to test whether the tipping bucket flips and data collection is normal (it is recommended to inject 60-70mm of quantitative water for verification).
4. Regularly clean the funnel, filter screen, and inner wall of the tipping bucket to avoid clogging. During the winter icing period, it is recommended to retrieve the device indoors for use.
Please avoid disassembling the sensor during installation. Do not operate wiring while powered on, and check regularly to ensure long-term stable operation.

As an ecologically sensitive area in the Himalayas, Bhutan has a growing demand for importing high-precision meteorological equipment. This export not only demonstrates NiuBoL’s technical strength in the field of rainfall monitoring but also further expands the company’s layout in the “Belt and Road” regions and the South Asian market. The company will continue to uphold the concept of “innovation, reliability, and environmental protection” and contribute more solutions to global climate adaptation and smart hydrology.
NiuBoL focuses on the research and development, production, and sales of environmental monitoring equipment such as meteorology, hydrology, and soil. Its products have been exported to many countries and regions and have won wide recognition with high cost-performance and stable performance.
