NiuBoL has completed a shipment of solar-powered insect trap equipment to New Zealand, including frequency-vibration and wind-suction models. The delivery adds to the company's international supply of agricultural and outdoor monitoring-related equipment, with a focus here on physical insect control rather than chemical treatment.
New Zealand is known for its orchards, vineyards, horticultural production and other agricultural activities. In these environments, insect management is an ongoing consideration, and solar-powered traps can offer an additional tool where installing a permanent electrical supply would be inconvenient.
The shipment included two distinct NiuBoL product configurations. Both use light to attract flying insects, but the way they capture or eliminate insects is different.
The NBL-SIKL-FV frequency-vibration solar insect trap uses an insect-attracting LED light source together with a high-voltage grid. Insects drawn toward the light may come into contact with the surrounding grid. The system is powered by a solar panel and battery, allowing it to operate without a continuous mains connection.
Frequency-vibration type: the light attracts flying insects toward a protective-grid assembly.
The NBL-SIKL-WS wind-suction solar insect trap also uses insect-attracting light, but its main capture mechanism is a fan that creates negative-pressure airflow. Insects approaching the lamp are drawn into a collection chamber. This provides an alternative to the grid-based capture method.
Wind-suction type: an electric fan draws attracted insects into the collection container.
The supplied configurations feature solar charging, battery storage and IP65-rated outdoor housings. Their design is suited to consideration in orchards, crop-growing areas, gardens and other open-air locations where pest pressure and access to grid power vary.
These devices are insect control equipment, not automatic insect identification or population-counting systems. For effective use, buyers should assess target insect species, location, solar exposure, lamp placement and maintenance needs. Traps can complement an integrated pest management program; their effectiveness and impact on non-target insects depend on local conditions and operation.

NiuBoL supplies both frequency-vibration solar insect traps and wind-suction solar insect traps. To discuss a suitable option, share the crop or outdoor setting, target insect types, approximate coverage area and available sunlight conditions.
