 II. Device Overview: High-Integration Multi-Element All-in-One Design 

The Niubol 7-in-1 Ultrasonic Weather Sensor is a fully digital, high-precision, multi-parameter monitoring device.  

It can simultaneously detect seven elements:  

Wind speed, wind direction, atmospheric temperature, atmospheric humidity, atmospheric pressure, rainfall, and solar radiation.  

Additionally, it can be optionally equipped with PM2.5, PM10, noise, and other sensor modules to adapt to more complex urban environments and smart ecological projects.  

The device features a compact structure, high integration, and IP65 protection rating, making it suitable for extreme weather, coastal environments, high-humidity factories, scientific research sites, transportation hubs, and other complex scenarios.

 III. Description of Each Monitoring Parameter and Its Functions 

The following outlines the functions of each element within the sensor and their significance in practical applications: 

1. Wind Speed and Wind Direction  

   Wind speed and direction are direct reflections of atmospheric motion, which are crucial for industrial ventilation, pollutant diffusion analysis, port scheduling, and more.  

   Niubol employs ultrasonic time-of-flight difference measurement technology, calculating wind speed and direction by comparing the propagation time differences in the N-S and E-W directions.  

   Advantages:

   - Fast response and strong anti-interference;  

   - Unaffected by temperature or humidity;

2. Temperature and Humidity  

   These two data points are foundational indicators affecting equipment operation, personnel comfort, and air quality.  

   The temperature and humidity module uses high-precision digital probes, capable of stable operation in the -40°C to 80°C range, with output errors below ±0.5°C and ±5% RH.  

   In agriculture, warehousing, energy, and transportation sectors, temperature and humidity data are commonly used for automatic ventilation, dehumidification, air conditioning control, and energy balance management.

3. Pressure  

   Pressure changes are often closely related to weather system evolution, wind speed variations, and more.  

   By monitoring pressure, it assists in predicting storms, rainfall, or sudden meteorological events.  

   In industrial applications, pressure data is also used for ventilation and pressure compensation control in enclosed spaces. 

4. Rainfall  

   It employs a piezoelectric ceramic kinetic rainfall detection principle.  

   When raindrops strike the sensing surface, the piezoelectric element converts kinetic energy into an electrical signal, calculating rainfall intensity and cumulative rainfall based on signal amplitude and frequency.  

   Advantages:  

   - Highly sensitive, capable of identifying from light rain to heavy rain;  

   - No mechanical tipping bucket structure, maintenance-free;  

   - Resistant to freezing jams and dust accumulation errors.  

   Rainfall monitoring has direct significance for flood warnings, irrigation control, and drainage system optimization. 

5. Solar Radiation  

   The solar radiation sensing module can measure light intensity from 0 to 1500 W/m², with an error less than 10%.  

   In smart agriculture, solar power plants, and building energy-saving analysis projects, radiation data serves as a key parameter for calculating light utilization rates, evapotranspiration, and energy balance.

 IV. Detailed Working Principles 

The wind speed and direction section uses the ultrasonic time-of-flight difference method.  

The sensor measures the propagation time differences of ultrasonic waves from N→S and S→N, E→W and W→E, and calculates wind speed and direction through algorithms, without relying on temperature compensation.   

The rainfall section employs the piezoelectric kinetic energy measurement method:  

When raindrops strike the piezoelectric sheet at a constant terminal velocity, the sensor infers the weight of individual raindrops and rainfall intensity through impact force (P = mv).  

Compared to traditional tipping bucket rain gauges, it offers advantages such as fast response, no mechanical wear, and no need for cleaning.

6. Cable Handling: Cables should include stress relief, with tight connections and shielded wires grounded as instructed;  

7. Continuous Power Supply: Maintain stable power input to avoid power outages or transient voltage fluctuations;  

8. Regular Inspections: Prevent external debris from obstructing measurement ports.
