1. Innovative Dual-Wavelength Measurement & Algorithm Compensation
NBL-WQ-COD-408-S uses two independent light sources. The main light source emits 254nm UV light to detect organic content; the reference light source measures water turbidity. Through an internal specific compensation algorithm, the sensor automatically eliminates the interference of particulate suspended solids on absorbance. Even under fluctuating water quality conditions, it outputs stable and reliable COD values, significantly reducing measurement deviations caused by environmental noise.

A: The cleaning frequency can be flexibly set via Modbus commands according to on-site water quality. If the water quality is poor and prone to scaling, we recommend increasing cleaning frequency.
Q5: What causes large fluctuations in displayed values during operation?
A: First check if the measurement window is obstructed or if the cleaning wiper is functioning properly. Additionally, if the water turbidity exceeds the sensor range, it can also affect COD compensation accuracy.
Q6: What standard solution should be used for calibration?
A: COD calibration typically uses a standard solution prepared with potassium hydrogen phthalate (KHP). Please refer to the manual for preparation details. Temperature and turbidity should be calibrated before COD calibration.
Q7: Can the cable be cut and extended by myself?
A: It is recommended to be done by professionals. RS-485 communication is stable within 1000 meters, but ensure the power supply voltage still meets above 12V after long-distance transmission, and make waterproof insulation connections.
Q8: Why does the manual mention returning to factory after 18 months?
A: To ensure the sensor's sealing performance under deep water pressure, we recommend returning the sensor to the factory every 18 months to replace the dynamic sealing device and perform comprehensive inspection and maintenance of the self-cleaning system.
