NiuBoL NBL-WQ-TSA-4 online turbidity sensor adopts 90° scattered light principle, specially designed for tap water plants, secondary water supply, pipe network terminals, direct drinking water and membrane treatment systems, providing high-precision, strong anti-interference real-time turbidity monitoring solutions to help system integrators and engineering contractors achieve stable and reliable online water quality monitoring.
In tap water plant effluent, secondary water supply and membrane filtration processes, turbidity fluctuations often lead to water quality exceedance, equipment contamination or compliance risks. NiuBoL NBL-WQ-TSA-4 flow-through online turbidity sensor takes 90° scattered light method as the core, combined with optical fiber structure and infrared LED light source, achieving high-precision measurement with 0.001 NTU resolution, completely solving problems of traditional sensors such as susceptibility to external light interference, poor stability and difficult integration.

NiuBoL NBL-WQ-TSA-4 online turbidity sensor is a professional flow-through monitoring device developed by NiuBoL for municipal water supply, secondary water supply and terminal direct drinking water scenarios. It adopts the internationally mainstream 90° scattered light measurement method, quantifying the concentration of suspended particles in water samples by measuring the scattered light intensity perpendicular to the incident light.
The product integrates built-in temperature sensor, automatic temperature compensation and linearization algorithm, with stable output signal and fast response (T90<90s), especially suitable for engineering projects requiring long-term continuous monitoring and extremely high data reliability. Whether as an independent monitoring point or integrated into a large-scale water IoT system, NBL-WQ-TSA-4 can provide trustworthy performance.
Adopting 90° scattered light principle, infrared LED light source with stable wavelength, combined with optical fiber structure design, greatly improves the ability to resist external light interference. Even in complex lighting installation environments, it can maintain extremely low drift, ensuring data authenticity and reliability.
The sensor and flow-through cell are integrally formed, the shell adopts high-performance composite material, compact size and high integration. IP65 protection level combined with M16-5 core waterproof connector, suitable for humid and mildly corrosive environments. It is recommended to use with NiuBoL CVC-100 pressure reducing flow controller to precisely control inlet flow (≤300ml/min) and pressure (≤0.2MPa), further improving measurement repeatability.
Supports RS-485 (Modbus RTU protocol) and 4-20mA current output. Dual output modes meet the needs of different control systems. The protocol is open and transparent, convenient for system integrators to quickly develop and debug, significantly reducing engineering implementation difficulty and cycle.
The measurement window and flow-through cell are easy to clean, daily maintenance can be completed without complex tools. Automatic temperature compensation (Pt1000) effectively eliminates the influence of temperature changes on measurement results. The two-point calibration method is simple to operate and suitable for rapid on-site calibration.
The whole series of products have undergone strict environmental adaptability tests and maintain excellent performance within the working temperature range of 0~50℃. Storage temperature range -5~65℃, meeting most municipal and industrial site conditions.

Installation Suggestion: Adopt wall-mounted installation with the upper end face kept horizontal. It is strongly recommended to use with NiuBoL CVC-100 pressure reducing flow controller to ensure inlet flow is stable within the recommended range. The drain outlet should be kept naturally straight to avoid bending stress.

Q1. What is the measurement principle of NBL-WQ-TSA-4?
It adopts the international standard 90° scattered light method, calculating turbidity value by detecting the intensity of scattered light in the vertical direction, with high precision and low color interference.
Q2. Does it support Modbus protocol access to PLC or SCADA systems?
It supports standard Modbus RTU protocol and can be directly connected to various industrial control systems via RS-485 interface, while retaining 4-20mA output for flexible integration.
Q3. What are the requirements for installation flow and pressure of the sensor?
Recommended inlet flow ≤300ml/min, pressure ≤0.2MPa. Stable water pressure and appropriate flow are the key to ensuring measurement accuracy. It is recommended to use with a pressure reducing flow controller.
Q4. How to perform on-site calibration?
Supports two-point calibration (zero point + slope). Before calibration, it is recommended to clean the measurement window and flow-through cell. Use zero turbidity liquid and standard solution. The sensor measurement end face should be immersed below the liquid surface and away from the bottom of the beaker.
Q5. What is the daily maintenance frequency?
Regularly check and clean the measurement window and the inside of the flow-through cell. According to water quality conditions, it is recommended to perform a comprehensive cleaning every 1-3 months. Calibration should be carried out according to specified cycles if required by the competent authority.
Q6. Can it be used in seawater or highly corrosive environments?
The product is mainly designed for freshwater and municipal water supply environments. Long-term exposure to seawater or strongly corrosive media requires evaluation of material compatibility and enhanced wiring waterproof treatment.

Standard configuration is 5-meter cable. Other lengths can be customized according to project requirements. Please confirm with our technical team before customization.
