Major equipment required for the construction of weather stations includes sensors, data collector, power system, communication module, mounting structure, enclosure and software platform. The equipment list should follow the application and site conditions.
Sensors measure the weather elements. The data collector reads and timestamps signals. The power system keeps the station online. The communication module sends data to the user system. Mounting hardware determines whether readings are representative.

Before procurement, confirm whether the receiver accepts RS485, Modbus RTU, pulse, analog voltage or 4-20 mA signals. The wrong output choice can add gateway cost and commissioning time.
A complete station normally needs sensors, a data collector, power supply, communication module, mast, enclosure, cables and a platform or display.
Select the measured parameters first. The sensor list determines the logger channels, power load, communication method and mounting structure.
A collector or gateway is needed when data must be stored, timestamped, uploaded or integrated with a platform. Direct sensor output is only enough for simple controller input.
Sensor quantity, mast height, power method, communication distance, installation accessories, platform needs and service access all affect quotation.
Provide application, parameter list, site photos if available, power condition, communication method, mounting height, data receiving system and cable requirements.
Verify physical installation, sensor readings, logger storage, upload, units, timestamps, grounding, cable protection and maintenance access.
Weather station construction is an equipment-matching task. Sensors, logger, power, communication and mounting must be selected together for reliable project data.
