Turbidity anomalies often lead to process loss of control, filter blockage or non-compliant discharge. The NiuBoL NBL-ZS-406-A online turbidity sensor adopts the 90° scattered light method principle. It emits a light beam through an infrared LED light source, measures the scattered light intensity in the direction perpendicular to the incident light, and outputs stable and accurate NTU values in real time after linearization processing. The sensor is easy to install and maintain, with strong resistance to external light interference. The NiuBoL NBL-ZS-406-A online turbidity sensor is an integrated industrial-grade online turbidity monitoring device designed based on the 90° scattered light measurement principle. When the light beam enters the water sample, turbidity substances in the water cause light scattering. The sensor detects the scattered light intensity in the vertical direction, compares it with internal calibration values, and outputs the final turbidity value after linearization processing.
The sensor requires no reagent consumption, has a response time of T90<30s, and stable data output. It is widely suitable for engineering projects that require real-time and continuous monitoring of water turbidity. For system integrators, the standardized Modbus protocol allows direct connection to existing PLC, DCS or IoT platforms for seamless data collection and remote monitoring. For engineering contractors, it significantly reduces on-site construction difficulty and later maintenance costs, ensuring that the monitoring system operates stably for a long time under complex water quality conditions. 4. Convenient Maintenance and Calibration
Uses two-point calibration method (zero point + slope), simple operation. Zero point calibration uses zero-turbidity liquid, and slope calibration uses standard turbidity solution. After the value stabilizes for 3~5 minutes, calibration is completed through Modbus commands. It is recommended to regularly check the cleanliness of the measurement window and clean with tap water or a soft cloth with detergent to maintain optimal measurement performance.

Note: The sensor connector is M16-5-core waterproof male connector, and the cable is 5-core twisted shielded wire.

During installation, adopt submerged installation with 3/4NPT pipe thread interface. Ensure the sensor is at least 5cm away from the side wall and at least 10cm away from the bottom to avoid wall or bottom reflection interference with measurement. Place the sensor vertically in the water body with the measurement end face kept clean.
Electrical Connection: Use 5-core twisted shielded cable with the following wiring definition:
Red wire: Power positive (12~24V DC)
Black wire: Ground (GND)
Blue wire: RS-485 A
White wire: RS-485 B
Yellow wire: 4-20 mA current output (optional, leave floating if not in use)
Before powering on, please carefully check the wiring sequence. All wiring points must undergo waterproof treatment. User cables should have certain corrosion resistance. During normal operation, the cable should not be tensioned to prevent internal breakage.
